We Need Fosters!
THE FONT KITTENS
Want to foster five rambunctious, seven-week old boys? How about two or three of them? They’re all eating, using the litter box, playful, and friendly.
Calibri, Roman, and Palatino (the gray tabby kittens), or Menlo and Monaco (the red tabby kittens.) Or take all five. They are loads of fun!
We trapped a cat we though was their mom, but we’re pretty sure she’s not. Helvetica is probably their aunt. (Everyone loves her name.) She’s going to be spayed next week and put back into her territory. She’s feral.
THE HENLY KITTENS
Too much? Maybe sister and brother Rosemary and Sage, eight weeks old but itsy bitsy? They’ll stand on your shoes and ask to be picked up, then purr at you. Like the Font kitties, they’re eating and using the litter box—very low maintenance.
MAYBE A TIME-LIMIT FOSTERING—YURI AND HER BABIES
Yuri came to us from Johnson City where an elderly gentleman with Alzheimer’s was trying to pick up the pregnant, petrified cat to keep her safe. His family appealed to us for help so that no one got hurt. A wonderful lady from Blanco County Cat Coalition trapped her and brought her to Thundering Paws. She gave birth to three kittens at the sanctuary.
Although we think this was Yuri’s first litter also, unlike Clover, she knew exactly what to do. A more devoted mother we have yet to see! Lavender, Aster, and Lilac will be 13 weeks old next week and will be off to be spayed/neutered, and then adopted. Their mom will, too.
A Special Mom & Son Pair
Thyme is a momma cat who has been through a lot. Back in September, we saved her from a kill shelter where she’d had four kittens. All were adopted out, except for Thyme and her boy, Peppermint.
These two just adore each other, and they are now a bonded pair. They both love to be around people, and Thyme is a calm balance to Peppermint’s youthful energy and playfulness.
If you’re looking for the perfect pair of loving kitties, look to adopt this sweet bonded mother and son pair!
Meet Thyme
I AM: A Sweet Girl, A Shy Girl, A Momma
Thyme is a momma cat who has been through a lot. Back in September of 2020, we saved her from a kill shelter, where she’d had four kittens. All were adopted out, except for Thyme and her little boy, Peppermint. They are very attached to one another and are a bonded pair.
Unlike her wild child Peppermint, Thyme is a sweet but subdued girl who doesn’t need a lot of attention. She’s a shy kitty who likes to watch the world from a distance but with a patient and experienced adopter, she warms up quickly and sweetly comes in for pets.
Thyme loves her little boy, Peppermint, and loves to be around people. She’s a calm balance to Peppermint’s high energy and playfulness. If you’re looking for the perfect pair of loving kitties, look to adopt bonded mother and son, Thyme and Peppermint!
Meet Peppermint
I AM: A Playful Boy, A Sweet Boy, Bonded To My Mom
Peppermint has been through a lot in his young life. Back in September of 2020, we saved his mother, Thyme, from a kill shelter, where she’d had four kittens. All were adopted out, except for Thyme and Peppermint. They are very attached to one another and are a bonded pair.
Unlike his shy mom Thyme, Peppermint is a high-energy and outgoing young cat who loves to play, chase, and run after his turbo ball toy! A little shy with strangers at first, it takes very little time before he will seek attention, pets, and cuddles.
Peppermint loves Thyme and being around other cats and people. He’s an energetic and playful foil to his shy and calm mom. If you’re looking for the perfect pair of loving kitties, look to adopt bonded mother and son, Thyme and Peppermint!
