The Drive for Five!

Thundering Paws Animal Sanctuary always has a tough time getting donations in the summer. And this summer is particularly difficult because we can't ask our volunteers to stand outside sympathetic businesses and solicit donations in 105 degree weather! By August every year, we are out of money and this year is just a little worse.

CD Release Party Update

We had a great time at the CD release party this week. Marc Gunn was joined onstage by Cedric the Fiddler and Michelle the mistress of the bodhran. They filled the Cactus Cafe with lively music including songs especially for cat lovers and browncoats. There was singing and clapping and lots of laughter in the audience, all in all a perfectly lovely evening.

We are so grateful to Marc for turning his release party into a benefit for Thundering Paws. All the kitties, bunnies, dogs, and humans at Thundering Paws appreciate his enormous generosity.

Summer Appeal for Funds

Blog author:
Anne Zabolio

The gist of this message is that we need money again, for rent, bills, vet bills, cat food, etc. Give online via PayPal account, or you can mail a check to P.O. Box 1555, Dripping Springs, TX 78620. We will appreciate any amount you can give us.

Most of the rest of this e-mail is just blather about what we've done to raise funds. There are some animal stories clearly marked at the end because I will never appeal to you for funds without telling you about some of the wonderful creatures we help with your dollars.
