Help Dee Arrington recuperate from her recent stroke

Please help our beloved friend Dee Arrington as she recuperates from her recent stroke - on July 18, the right side of Dee's body was paralyzed. She was unable to swallow for nearly a month and is learning to speak again. Dee faces a long road to full recovery. Dee has no medical insurance, an easily exhausted bank account, and she now finds herself without a home. Though she is eligible for Medicaid, there are currently no spots available. Dee’s rehabilitation therapy costs $1,100 a day.

Custom Handmade Pet Memory Beads Help Thundering Paws

Our new friend Beata is an amazing artist who creates gorgeous handmade lampwork glass beads in custom colors to honor your beloved pet. She will incorporate ashes from your loved ones to craft a beautiful memorial.

She has generously offered to donate a percentage of her sales of cat memorial beads to Thundering Paws. If you purchase Pet Memory Beads to honor the loss of a beloved cat, 40% of the purchase price will be donated to Thundering Paws Animal Sanctuary to support our rescue efforts.

Can you help Othello, a kitty with health issues? We need $1000

Blog author:
Anne Zabolio

George M., a veteran with health issues of his own, lives on a fixed income at the end of a dead end road outside of Dripping Springs. A kind hearted man, he has fed a colony of cats dumped and born on his property for 25 years. For 20 of those years, he tried without success to get every cat spayed or neutered, but could only afford a few surgeries a year. To complicate this problem, George doesn't drive as he is losing his sight.

Howliday Helpers

It's that time of year again!

Our local Barnes & Noble, BookPeople, and PetSmart stores are providing hardworking Thundering Paws volunteers the opportunity to earn money to pay our vets, provide shelter, and buy food and supplies for our many animals.

If you have a chance to stop by during these days and times, shop and support these businesses and let our volunteers wrap your gift or pose as Santa with your furbaby. Or even better, if you have the spare time, contact us to volunteer your time!
