Rufus! On Thursday, March 19th, a couple found a kitten in the parking lot of Evangeline's, a restaurant in the Brodie/Slaughter area. Because they were in a work truck, the man put a cone behind it when parking. When removing the cone, he found the kitten behind the tire!.

Othello, back to his home sweet home

Blog author:
Anne Zabolio

Othello went home yesterday!  He was recovered from his surgery, finished with his pain meds, had completed his antibiotics for his ear (we put all of this in canned food and he scarfed it down), and was eating everything in sight, including dry food.  When I took him home, I opened his carrier and he hopped out and went and checked out a few places to see what smells had changed since he was there last.  He obviously knew where he was and where everything was kept.

Othello feels so much better!

Othello is eating like a piggy! Before surgery, he would eat only one kind of canned food that was easy on his mouth. Now he eats everything we have given him!

Update on Othello

Good news on Othello! He came through his surgery fine and is now at Thundering Paws for a recovery period. Anyone who has ever had dental surgery can appreciate that it will be a little while before he's ready to go back to eating a regular diet. For now, he's getting soft food with pain relief medication mixed in. Romeo is also still with us and will stay until Othello is ready for them to go back to their colony together.
