Julia Hilder, one of the amazing feral cat trappers in the Austin area, has made this short video about the miracle of birth (click the link to view the video):

Sunday Has Her Kittens

Please, please, spay and neuter your pets, and support spay and neuter programs for feral cats. One litter at a time, it does make a difference.

There is a wonderful organization helping to reduce pet overpopulation in Hays County by assisting low-income families with free spaying or neutering for their pets. This is Pet Prevent A Litter (PALS) of Central Texas.

They provide vouchers to qualified families that can be used for free spaying or neutering by Emancipet or for discounts at area veterinarians.

Animals that are spayed or neutered have happier, healthier lives

This service is for pets owned by Hays County families who have low income or are receiving public assistance. Special circumstances of personal hardship are considered. To find out if you are eligible for spay and neuter assistance, call them at (512) 754-PALS and leave a message. They'll call you back and discuss your situation with you to determine if you are qualified.

Spread the word to all your Hays County friends about PALS. Let's help them with their goal of helping to end pet overpopulation.

Visit their web site at to read more about all their programs and activities, including the 6th annual PET FEST scheduled for September 29th. And if you have time or talent to donate, PALS is looking for new members and volunteers to help with ongoing programs and special events.
